Hurricane Ian tracked further to the East than originally expected, leaving Clemson, S.C., mostly clear to host ESPN’s College GameDay on Oct. 1, 2022. Despite light and misting rain the night before, fans still lined up behind gates at Clemson University’s Bowman Field, ready to spend the night to grab a prime spot for the morning broadcast. The Clemson University Tigers hosted the Wolfpack of N.C. State University, the schools’ 87th matchup and their first while both top-10 teams in the national college football rankings.
